Responsibilities:

1) Primary Function a) Design, maintain and improve IoT gateways b) Troubleshoot and repair faulty gateways.
c) Support the integration of sensors and actuators d) Perform root cause analysis of electronic faults and implement corrective and preventive measures.
e) Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, documentation, and reports.
f) Design PCB and liaise with vendors for fabrication of PCB g) Collaborate with external vendors for equipment upgrades, technical support, and spare parts.
h) Create and present technical reports and updates using PowerPoint and Canva.
i) Develop and maintain basic Gantt charts for project timelines and progress tracking.
2) Secondary Function a) Identify, assess, and promptly report any unsafe conditions, abnormal system behavior, or potential risks related to IoT hardware, software, or production environments to the relevant leader or supervisor.
b) Develop a working understanding of the company’s products, processes, and production workflows to ensure IoT solutions align with operational needs.
c) Comply with all company health, safety, and security regulations, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working in production or lab areas.
d) Adhere to the company’s policies, procedures, and engineering standards while performing all technical and project-related activities.
e)Carry out ad-hoc tasks and technical support activities as assigned to support R&D, production, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification requirements:
Local worker electronic engineering Degree
Working experience requirement:
Minimum Masters Degree or 1 year working experience
Organization knowledge requirements:
Must be familiar with loT infrastructure
Skills & Competencies requirements:
- Strong knowledge of IoT architecture, sensors, gateways, and edge devices.
- Hands‑on experience with PCB schematic design and layout, prototype bring‑up, and validation.
- Solid understanding of electronics troubleshooting, signal integrity, and power management.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I²C, MQTT, TCP/IP, modbus).
- Ability to conduct technical feasibility studies, component selection, and design trade‑off analysis.
- Working experience with project planning tools and documentation (e.g., Gantt charts, technical reports).
- Able to follow and execute instructions.
- Adaptability, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
