SUMMARY: Currently looking for a Clamp Operator to safely operate clamp forklift equipment to handle, move, and store chemical raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials within a chemical manufacturing or warehouse environment, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and hazardous materials protocols.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric
Valid Clamp Forklift Operator Licence (F11 or relevant operating license)
Valid forklift competency certificate
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience operating a clamp forklift in an industrial or warehouse environment (chemical industry experience advantageous)
Knowledge of safe handling of hazardous materials and chemicals
Ability to read and interpret job orders and stock documents
Physically fit and medically cleared to work in chemical conditions

Time management and ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of OHS Act and chemical industry regulations
Ability to follow SOPs and work instructions
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a Clamp Forklift to load, offload, stack, and move chemical products and materials
Handle drums, bulk bags, pallets, and chemical packaging with precision and care
Ensure safe transportation of hazardous materials and adherence to chemical handling procedures
Inspect clamp equipment before and after use; report and record any mechanical issues
Ensure accurate material movement according to stock and production requirements
Follow chemical plant SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) procedures
Assist in warehouse housekeeping and maintain clean, safe work areas
Adhere to waste management and spill response procedures
Support inventory management and stock control activities
Coordinate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams.
