Meta is seeking a Director of Strategic Projects to develop Meta's global data center portfolio in line with the company's strategic objectives to advance our efforts around AI.<br/><br/><b>Responsibilities</b><br/><br/>Grow and lead the strategic development program including identification and commercial structuring of development partner opportunities to enable future data center capacity growth<br/>• Collaborate with key leaders across design, engineering, construction, network, and legal to develop the strategic plan needed to execute against the company's aggressive capacity targets<br/>• Guide team members on overall strategic approach to developing new capacity while mitigating risk and ensuring that sufficient contingency plans are in place<br/>• Accountable for data center developers to supply pipeline opportunities and deliver on capacity targets while minimizing cost and optimizing for flexibility and optionality<br/>• Represent Meta in meetings with executives from potential suppliers, governments, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders<br/>• Recruit, onboard, and mentor staff and ensure robust learning and career development<br/>• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (25%+)<br/><br/><b>Minimum Qualifications</b><br/>• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience<br/>• 15+ years of overall experience in industrial real estate, infrastructure and data center development space<br/>• Proven track record of delivering large scale multi-party deals resulting in data center capacity delivery<br/>• 8+ years experience managing global programs and organizations<br/>• Proven commercial leadership and negotiation experience on multi-variable, complex deals involving scalable land, energy, and infrastructure capacity<br/>• Proven track record of delivering large capital projects leveraging complex commercial structures<br/>• Experience developing the vision for a developer program including opening new markets internationally utilizing partnership structures<br/>• Strategic thinker with experience driving decision making in ambiguous environments with experience influencing senior level stakeholders<br/>• Analytical problem-solving skills, experience being effective in a fast paced, hands-on work environment, and have a track record of success leading projects and developing complex solutions across multiple stakeholders<br/>• Competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator<br/>• Experience delivering presentations and written communications to executive-level audiences<br/>• Proven track record of organizational leadership, including leading larger organizations and scaling teams during growth cycles<br/>• Knowledge of or experience assessing industry trends, market opportunities, and the competitive landscape<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications</b><br/>• 15+ years of commercial real estate investment and development experience<br/>• Experience in the data center industry<br/>• International infrastructure development experience<br/>• Private equity and investment banking experience<br/>• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, real estate, or relevant field. MBA or J.D. preferred
