Responsibilities
Architect scalable and secure GitHub enterprise solutions tailored to organizational needs, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Integrate GitHub with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and OpenStack to facilitate seamless CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Groovy, Python, Ruby, and other scripting languages to streamline repository management, code review workflows, and release cycles.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement DevOps best practices including continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), build automation with tools like Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Terraform.
Manage system administration tasks involving Linux (CentOS, UNIX), Windows Server environments, virtualization (VMware), containerization systems like Docker and Kubernetes for deploying microservices architectures.
Ensure robust security measures through identity & access management protocols, firewall configurations, cloud security policies, and incident response strategies.
Monitor system performance using tools such as New Relic or Splunk; troubleshoot issues related to software deployment, system testing, or network connectivity; support incident recovery efforts promptly.
Skills
Extensive experience with version control systems including GitHub, GitLab, SVN; strong understanding of branching strategies and pull request workflows.
Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform; familiarity with OpenStack is a plus.
Deep knowledge of containerization systems like Docker and Kubernetes for deploying scalable applications in cloud environments.
Expertise in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), Groovy, Python, Ruby; experience with build automation tools like Maven, Gradle.
Strong background in enterprise software development using Java (including WebSphere), C#,.NET frameworks; familiarity with Ruby on Rails is advantageous.
Skilled in IT infrastructure management including Linux administration (CentOS/UNIX), Windows Server environments; experience with VMware virtualization.
Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server; experience with DynamoDB or Oracle databases is desirable.
Ability to implement disaster recovery plans; manage high availability configurations; perform system testing and troubleshooting efficiently.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web services architecture; understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP and DNS for secure communications.
