Our Client, in the Auto Component Manufacturing Industry, is seeking to employ a Senior Supply Chain Coordinator to their team based in Johannesburg, East Rand.

Requirements :

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related field (NQF-Level 6).
  • Up to 5 years’ experience in supply chain operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office Suite and relevant ERP or SAP systems.
  • Proven knowledge of inventory management, procurement, and logistics processes.
  • Understanding of compliance and financial controls.

Responsibilities, but not limited to :

Supply Chain Coordination

  • Receive and capture stock on the system accurately and ensure correct distribution.
  • Execute operational tasks including stores control, stock counts, deliveries, inventory management, damage reporting, and handling of redundant stock.
  • Monitor and control consignment stock.
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.
  • Obtain and process supplier quotations for approval.
  • Create and maintain driver or messenger schedules and ensure communication of daily tasks.
  • Create purchase requisitions for imported stock and local distributions.
  • Ensure new codes created on the system are accurate and compliant.
  • Arrange staff training sessions and meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate checking and charge processes.
  • Compliance

  • Operate within company controls and procedures to ensure operational integrity.
  • Identify and report risks or areas of concern to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal procedures.
  • Prevent and monitor fruitless, wasteful, and irregular expenditure.
  • Customer Service

  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Represent the department in meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Resolve problems efficiently while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
  • Staff Supervision

  • Ensure all employees have signed performance agreements.
  • Conduct quarterly performance appraisals and monitor progress.
  • Identify performance objectives, areas of development, and related action plans.
  • Facilitate ongoing employee training and development.
  • Address employee relations matter promptly and fairly.
  • Cost and Financial Control

  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process.
  • Promote efficient and transparent use of financial and material resources.
  • Monitor expenditure against budget and report deviations to management.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
