Job Position – Senior System Admin

Contract Duration: 1 Year – Extendable

Salary Range: 15000 AED

 

Responsibilities’ and roles:

Executes troubleshooting methodology and root cause analysis to resolve complex and advanced problems

Adheres to the agreed event management notification and escalation procedures

Perform problem management activities to minimize the adverse impact of faults and problems on the business caused by errors within the systems and to prevent the recurrence of faults related to these errors

Leads availability management activities to optimize maintenance and design measures that meet the SLA

Adheres to the entity change management policies and procedures

Prepares and executes systems maintenance plans to proactively manage reliability and service expectations

Responsible for Auditing, upgrading, and managing OSs on all production systems and components

Performs periodic review of configuration items (CI) to ensure compliance with policies and standards through operational readiness tasks

Identifies and follows best practices in performance tuning and optimization to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks

Prepares and maintains technical documentation to the asset with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the entity services

End User services:

Applies ITIL framework, closes Problem records within defined timeline threshold to minimize the impact on client /outage

Acts as Tier 3 focal point to resolve all break/fix and service degradation issues

Provides timely and frequent technical updates to customers, delivery, and capability management

Understand and support provisioned SLA services, this includes meeting response, resolution, reporting, and RCA timelines

BSc. Degree in computer engineering, computer science or equivalent

Enterprise Advanced certifications in Microsoft, AWS, and other well-known Cloud vendors

Experience:

10 plus years in similar roles in large organizations

Job-specific skills:

Windows on-prem and Azure Administration

Linux O.S administration

Virtualized environment management

Backend systems (Cohesity backup, AD, DNS, DHCP, etc)

Experienced in Conducting DR exercise for the systems domain

Experienced in MS SQL environment by setting it up, maintain it and provide technical suggestions to improve it
